Welcome to Camilla Parker Bowles .info - Camilla Parker Bowles Biography

Camilla Parker Bowles, or simply known as Camilla, is the second wife Charles, Prince of Wales, the heir apparent to the thrones of the United Kingdom and the other 15 Commonwealth Realms. It is to be noted, that prior to their marriage she had been a long time partner of Prince Charles and according to the aristocratic fervor, is legally the Princess of Wales. In addition, she is officially styled as Her Royal Highness.

Her Royal Highness or Parker-Bowles was born on 17th July, 1947 and is known since childhood as "Milla". Besides Camilla spent her early youth in the village of Plumpton, East Sussex, England and attended the Dumbrells School in Sussex, she also attended the Queen's Gate School in Kensington. In the later days, Parker Bowles, was perceived to attend the Mon Fertile, a finishing school in Switzerland. It was in the year 1965 when she made her debut in London, and for a year worked with Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler, one of the leading decorators of the city. In respect of her ancestry, Camillia is also from a decent background and her parents were the late Major Bruce Shand, A British Army Officer, who was became a wine merchant and died of cancer on 11 th June, 2006, and the late Hon. Rosalind Cubitt, eldest child of Roland Calvert Cubit, 3rd Baron Ashcombe.

In the year 1973, the then Camilla Shand, Parker-Bowles in the later stage, married Andrew Parker Bowles, a Roman Catholic by religion. The couple had two children together. It has been found through several records that the relationship between Camilla and the Prince of Wales had its beginning in the 1970s, after their first encounter at a polo match, before the first marriage of the either of the two. It should be noted, that the friendship between the Prince of Wales and the Parker Bowleses carried on even after the marriage of the Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. Both Camilla and her husband carried on extramarital affairs during their marriage.  In the meantime, the first wife of the Prince of Wales, Diana, publicly blamed the relationship between her husband and Camilla for the break-up of the Wales' marriage. In the private circles Diana blamed Camilla as the "Rottweiler". It is often asserted that the couple's affair had been conducted throughout the Prince's engagement, and that they had been intimate on the night before Charles' marriage to Diana, charges that were unsubstantiated.

Everything was going fine till the public admission of the Prince of Charles, of his adultery. This statement, being one of its first kind in the British royal history, created an upheaval, agitating the common mass. In the year 1995, the Parker Bowleses announced their own divorce, though they had been living apart for some time. Again, meanwhile with the still mysterious death of Lady Diana all the obstacles were removed. On 10th February, 2005, it was announced that Camilla and the Prince of Wales would marry on 8 th April, 2005 at Windsor Castle with a civil service followed by a Church of England service.
